Daniela Muñoz grew up in a construction and carpentry environment. Prior to attending college she interned for a family friend and Architect to learn the basics. Whom taught her how to and what to measure on site as well as contribute to the overall design process.
While she attended college at Savannah College of Art and Design, studying to become an Architect, she took it upon herself to do some remote freelance and received her first approved building permit in 2004 for a client that lived in Prince William County, Virginia.
During college breaks she continued to intern with her father, a construction contractor and family friend Architect. She also interned at an Architecture for Interiors firm in Baltimore, Maryland and worked on various projects including retail, hotel, and restaurant interiors.
After receiving her masters in Architecture and Bachelors in Fine Arts, she worked for a 200+ firm in Old Town Alexandria, that specialized in healthcare, science and technology, and government buildings. She continued to learn as she prepared for obtaining an architectural license through a series of exams. While attending various volunteer events with Rebuild Alexandria, CANStruction, One Brick, she grew more interested in residential construction and design. In 2009 she decided to peruse freelance work in Residential Design and has since had the opportunity to obtain several building permits in City of Alexandria, Fairfax County, and Arlington County.
Born in Washington, DC. Daniela is a true Virginian native at heart. If she is not designing she is hiking through the Virginia hills and trails with her girls.
